2025: Reflecting on a Year of Progress!
As we close 2025, we look back on a year that has brought meaningful progress for EIP. It has been a year of growth, recognition and innovation, shaped by the dedication of our people and the trust of our clients.
Celebrating 25 years
This September marked EIP’s 25th anniversary. Our Annual Review at Clare College, Cambridge was an opportunity to reflect on achievements, share plans for the future and celebrate the values that have guided us since the beginning.
Watch our anniversary video and take a journey through EIP’s history – from our founding to becoming a leading IP firm. Discover the milestones, achievements and people that have shaped who we are today.
Recognition and Reputation
We were pleased to be featured for the first time in The Times Best Law Firms 2026 and shortlisted for the Professional Services Management Excellence Awards 2026. While also maintaining and improving our rankings in Chambers, Legal 500, IAM Patent 1000, JUVE Patent and the Financial Times. These endorsements highlight our continued focus on delivering high-quality advice in complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.
Expanding Horizons in the US
2025 marked a significant step for EIP in the United States with the addition of Peter Prommer, Amy Salmela, and LD Gentry. Their expertise in patent litigation and prosecution strengthens our ability to support clients in complex, multi-jurisdictional matters. This expansion reflects our commitment to strategic growth and delivering seamless service across borders.
Technology and AI Innovation
Behind the scenes, our IT team played a critical role in enabling innovation. From implementing secure AI-driven tools to improving data infrastructure, they ensured EIP remains at the forefront of technology. Their work supports smarter workflows, enhanced cybersecurity and the integration of AI solutions that improve efficiency for both clients and colleagues.
Marketing and Business Development
Shainaz Stewart boomeranged back to EIP in the first quarter of 2025 and implemented the Marketing & Business Development Strategy 2025–2026, setting clear priorities for positioning and measurable impact.
A key focus within the M&BD strategy was on EIP's brand, which has seen a refresh this year alongside a soon to be launched new website designed to reflect who we are today: modern, innovative and client-focused. The updated branding brings clarity and consistency across all touchpoints, while the new website offers improved navigation, richer content and a more engaging experience for clients and contacts to increase our digital presence as we move into 2026.

Really useful guide, thank you. I've been to INTA a few times now and the hotel recommendation is spot on — book early or you'll be paying a premium for something much further away.
